Danner Boots Sticky Rubber

The Danner Boots Sticky Rubber for a secure grip in even the most difficult wading situations are the most solid, high-performance wading boots imaginable. They are made by Danner in the USA from full grain leather with Vibram® Idogrip soles.

Before we could make the best waders, we first had to establish the criteria for them. After intensive collaboration with our designers, ambassadors and fishermen around the world, and after countless hours of hands-on testing in the water, we came to the following conclusion: The best waders must be absolutely comfortable for long days in difficult water and provide reliable support for the foot. They must provide secure footing on the bottom of water, on boggy trails, and occasionally on fallen trees. They must allow water to drain away quickly. They also have to be indestructible and last for decades. And finally, we agreed that it would be good if they didn't look like Frankenstein's boots either. So when we knew exactly what we wanted, the world-renowned company Danner Boots came into the picture. We combined our fly fishing experience with legendary Danner quality and craftsmanship to create a wading boot that surpassed anything in existence. Each and every pair is handmade in Portland, Oregon (from imported parts). The supple, waterproof full-grain leather comfortably conforms to the foot for the best support and protection. The welted construction creates a wide, stable base onto which a new sole can be sewn at any time if needed. The variable lacing system has traditional eyelets at the forefoot and quick lacing at the ankle, which allows for quick adjustments, gives the ankle a firm hold when wading on uneven ground and securely stabilizes the heel. And as for the outsole, when we say sticky rubber, we mean rubber that really sticks, as in the Vibram® Idrogrip, which presses into the finest crevices of rocky ground for the best traction. They're the best boots we've ever made, and we're sure you'll never have to buy new ones after this. For extra grip, you can screw spikes into the soles.

Waterproof full grain leather, tanned using a PFC-free process with salt solution, which gives it the highest resistance even in salt water. The leather can be treated again if necessary

The solid 1000-denier nylon trim is exceptionally abrasion resistant.

The upper is stitched to a 5mm rubber midsole to support the sole of the foot; underneath is a second midsole made of water-repellent polyether polyurethane for added support and comfort.

The variable lacing system has traditional eyelets at the forefoot and quick lacing at the ankle, which allows for quick adjustment, provides firm support for the ankle and securely stabilizes the heel.

Perforated drainage openings on both sides of the upper allow water to drain away quickly; to speed up drying, foam materials and linings are largely dispensed with.

The welted construction creates a wide base for greater stability, protects the flanks of the boot, and makes it possible for Danner to resole the boots at any time.

The Vibram® Idrogrip composite sole is specifically designed for maximum grip on wet surfaces; it provides excellent all-around traction for long approaches and changeable stream surfaces such as rock, gravel and mud.
